Man kills two brothers over property dispute – Latest News – The Nation

LAHORE – A man shot and killed his two brothers during a property dispute in Mohni Road here on Friday.

Police said an ownership dispute was ongoing between the brothers. On Friday, they exchanged harsh words again and accused Mukhtar of opening fire on his older brothers. Sarfraz, 60, and Altaf, 65, were shot and died instantly.

Following the incident, SP City Akhlaqullah Tarar, accompanied by a police team, visited the scene and reviewed the incident of the double murder. Police and forensic teams collected the evidence.


At least 16 people have been killed and 982 others injured in 982 road accidents in 37 districts of Punjab in the past 24 hours. No less than 572 seriously injured were transferred to various hospitals while 432 slightly injured were treated at the site of the incident by rescue teams. The analysis showed that 499 drivers, 24 underage drivers, 121 pedestrians and 400 passengers were among the road accident victims.

Statistics show that 240 accidents were reported in Lahore which affected 268 people placing the provincial capital at the top of the list, followed by 83 in Faisalabad with 82 casualties and third Gujranwala with 76 accidents and 76 casualties.

According to the data, 831 motorcycles, 80 auto-rickshaws, 122 automobiles, 26 vans, nine passenger buses, 43 trucks and 87 other types of vehicles and slow carts were involved in the road accidents.
