Mira Mesa Arson Continues With More Cars Burning Down Overnight – NBC 7 San Diego

Other vehicles were set on fire overnight in Mira Mesa in what authorities believe was the latest addition to a string of arson attacks that have targeted the community in recent weeks.

Four other vehicles were set on fire in two separate fires about an hour apart from each other early Monday, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD).

The first fire was reported on Block 10200 of Black Mountain Road at 1:47 a.m. and the second was reported on Block 10000 of Maya Linda Road at 2:44 a.m. Each incident involved two vehicles set on fire. Video from the scene showed several vehicles parked in a burning carport as firefighters repelled the blaze.

These are the last acts of arson reported in the region which puts residents on alert. Since December 21, there have been eight locations involving vehicle fires in Mira Mesa, with condominiums primarily targeted.
