Miracle Hill Ministries calls for donations for 15th Annual Ellis & Bradley Turkey Fries
Miracle Hill Ministries announced on October 20 that it will be accepting donations of turkey and canned goods on November 12 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and November 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its food warehouse at 725 Keith Drive in Greenville or at the Mission of Spartanburg rescue at 189 N. Forest St.
Donations, which can also be purchased from an Amazon Needs Wish List and shipped directly to the ministry, will be used for the 15th Annual Ellis & Bradley Turkey Fries at the Spartanburg Rescue Mission on November 23.
The non-profit organization aims to fry more than 600 turkeys to feed more than 5,000 adults and children at the four homeless shelters and two recovery centers in Miracle Hill. The ministry is also planning to distribute turkeys to its foster families.
“To see the community participation from start to finish is a blessing in itself, but the greatest joy for anyone working in Turkey Fry is to feel the gratitude of the people who receive the meals,” said the coordinator of the event, Kaylin Leopard.
Miracle Hill plans to feed approximately 100,000 meals over the holiday season and is also partnering with Greenville Church without Walls, Salvation Army, Miller Place, Archibald Rutledge, New Life Baptist Church and Upstate Circle of Friends to distribute turkeys to neighborhoods. low-income and other people in need.
