Teens suspected of crashing cars at Blue Mound Carvana – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth
According to Blue Mound Police, two teenagers belonging to a group called the “Bank Roll Gang” are facing auto theft and organized crime charges.
It happened on Saturday night at the huge Carvana used car park in Blue Mound. The police received a call that someone was trying to steal cars.
Officers arrived in about a minute. They discovered that a van had crashed into a security barrier.
Officers say Ethan Gaither, 18, was behind the wheel. He was arrested nearby. Andy Sanchez, 18, of Arlington, was later arrested.
The search continues for two other suspects.
According to police, Sanchez and the two other teens drove another outing in a stolen Dodge Challenger.
“They’re taking a $60,000 vehicle and smashing it up and totaling it up, just to run another vehicle off the lot,” Blue Mound Police Chief Dusty Steele said. “It shows they don’t care.”
Officers are still looking for Aidian Pierce, 18. Police say he posted a photo of himself on social media that appears to show him in the stolen Challenger.
Investigators say the teens are part of the “bank roll gang” that is active in the Arlington and Grand Prairie areas.
“Bankroll gangs, from what we’ve learned about them is that they walk around and steal vehicles, break into vehicles, steal guns and anything they can steal for sell it at a profit to add money to their bank roll,” Steele said.
Police are asking for the public’s help in getting the remaining suspects off the streets.
“They are heavily armed from what we saw,” the chief said. “They will flee from the police in these vehicles. They will do everything they can to get away.”
The stolen Dodge Challenger has not been found, police said.
